I don't believe anyone ever intended to look Connie & pete's "gift horse" in the mouth? No one would want to offend anyone here, but no one has said they are excited about the Moreau Community Center for a 50th reunion party either. (We have many classmates who who have to travel long distances & spend money for this reunion so it can be a very different decision for them than for some of the classmates that live locally) Sounds like we are on track to get actual information on deposit & count requirements for Massies & to see if Dinner Cruise is even possible, then we can send out all options with facts, including MCC & ask for vote/commitments We have more people stepping up to help out & that's a good thing & Kevin, I will raise my hand too. I also think we should try to find more of our missing classmates. I suggest we have a few classmates form a committee, who can check out social media sites & the other classmates site & try to find the 80plus that are missing . (i located Roger Eustance & now that he knows he are having a 50th, last i heard he is planning on attending-he lives in Houston) Anyone interested in contacting /searching for missing classmates?

Donna, yes: the Missing Classmates tab in the blue "navigation panel" at left is a list of everyone we're trying to track who has not registered and who has not been reported as having passed away. .(The definition of "everyone we're trying to track" is laid out in the red paragraph on the website's Home page.) If a person is listed as MIssing, their email address is not in the system and so they are not receiving any notifications.

Sherry, I'm on board with what you are saying. I'm just wary of good ideas being presented and then left to wither on the vine. Unless someone commits to being responsible for something (as Connie and Pete have done), I'm afraid nothing will end up happening. Note that I sent out emails starting LAST spring, we had several virtual Zoom meetings, and I don't think ever had more than a half dozen attendees. Getting a standing committee together would be challenging.

Connie - Is the Community Center available at other times during the weekend? If Massies or a cruise are decided upon for the dinner, it is too good a potential venue to lose. Could we use it for a Friday place to go for drinks or have an additional gathering - Sunday catered breakfast/brunch before people begin to return home? We always had pancake breakfasts or dinners there 40+ years ago when it was the Methodist Church my family attended - many happy memories :)

Well Kevin sorry I missed out on your zoom meetings. As I too, like you storage a full time job! I will have an answer on the cruise by the end of the week. There are two options in which I'm trying to secure. We need to know that you want to do a dinner and dance as I've already secured the band or do you want to do a happy hour cruise and then a dinner with what Pete and Connie suggested. I think a dinner dance and cruise would be a blast. So I'm gonna try to set it up for a total of 80 people! Will get back to everyone by this Sunday!

Kevin, I understand & respect what you are saying. There is something I have been meaning to say, Kevin, you have already done so much for our class. Thanks to you, our class of 1973 has our own dedicated web site because you put in all our class data & you keep it updated & current. Without that generous gift of your time, we would not even be having these 50th reunion discussions! We do need people to sign up to be responsible for certain aspects of our 50th and I think Cheryl & Donna offering to help find missing classmates and Kevin looking into cruises & Daniel reaching out to Massies & Connie & Pete MCC etc is a good start. I will take responsibility to book & coordinate all School tours with superintendent and will do more( just not sure what else yet) re missing classmates Cheryl what about you try taking the first 20names on the list & Donna takes the next 20 names , if 2 more offer to help they each take the next 20 names? i looked at a few names to see & Mike Cirelli owns Jam & eggs in SGF & Bob Knapp might know where Bonnie Lawrence is? between facebook & the other classmate page maybe we can try to find everyone? I am hopeful we can find everyone and we can plan a 50th that will appeal to everyone & have fun learning about each other !

Maybe consider using this for sign up for the high school reunion once we have definite plans.

Some of my friend from class of '73 have experienced some difficutlies signing on to this particular web site. Could be experience level, but just wanted to throw this out as an idea. I have found at least 3 from the list of missing classmates. I don't have email to contact them, but do have snail mail address. Do we have a protocol for contacting "Missing Classmats" via snail mail?

With a quick check on Facebook I find Debbie Ure , Mike Cirelli , Jimmy Hill , Mark Laney , Curtis Hunt and Jeff Pratt . Not sure how often they check posts but they are all on there. I believe Jeff Brouillette is deceased. Hopefully this helps
