I remember Reed Antis was at our last reunion on Friday, Does anybody keep in contact with him or know how to get ahold of him? If not I located a Reed Antis who co-owns a business in Saratoga and will send him an invitation via snail mail.

A reminder that we are meeting TODAY (June 29) at 5pm Eastern. You can join in-person at the Queensbury Uno  (900 Lake George Rd) or on-line via Zoom at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87882709672?pwd=U1FYcklBTENJOUpMVWhxNHpHZVF0Zz09 (the whole thing is needed, from https through the Zz09; if a passcode is requested, use 729906.)

IF YOU WANT INPUT ON EVENTS, THEIR TIMING, OR THEIR LOCATION, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU ATTEND OR AT LEAST STATE YOUR OPINIONS IN THIS MESSAGE FORUM *BEFORE* THE MEETING!   Decisions to be made are on the blue 50th Reunion tab, at left.

I think people from out of town would like a hotel in part to be able to socialize with classmates and friends. That being said, this is what the Holiday Inn Express off exit 18 is able to do for us:

Rooms    Friday ($159),  Saturday ($169 - bear in mind it's a holiday weekend),  Sunday ($159) for any standard (2 queen or 1 king bed). That will help those who might choose to cruise and then spend Sunday night.

Breakfast (hot and cold) is included. We can use a small (read intimate) conference room to eat our breakfast which will afford leisure and privacy.

Check their website for a full description, including amenities and ratings before you make a decision. We will be discussing it tonight (briefly) to make a final decision about the Holidqy Inn Express vs. Landmark.

If we go with the Holiday Inn Express:

1. Let me know you (tentatively) plan to stay there AND whether you would prefer a 2 Queen or 1 King room so she can hold the correct number of rooms with the selected configuration of beds. My address is nesstrey@aol.com , or send a private message via this site, a public message can be posted on this site or call me @ 518 393-4834, I need to know by Saturday so I can sign and return a contract.

2. Further instructions will follow  (including the address to use) to then make your reservation directly. Held rooms will be released on September 6th and my assumption is we can add rooms if necessary up to a certain point, but have been warned they will sell at soon as this is a holiday weekend.

3. If you are not attending tonight's meeting either in person or by Zoom still let me know if you think you might like a room and the number of beds you prefer.

Thanks to Donna Winslow for this suggestion and recommendation!

My husband and I had hoped to attend in person today but a health issue has kept us in CT. I will be attending via Zoom.

So far, over 20 of our missing classmates have been found thanks to all the efforts! Kevin, asking you since you are the only one who can do this. Could you please add a symbol next to names of our missing classmates that have been found, but did not yet register on this site? with the 79 names still on this missing list,  If there was an easy way to know who has already been found, it would really help those who are looking for classmates we still haven't contacted. Kevin, if you want, I could help by going thru all the messages & compiling a list  of the names that have been contacted & send the list to you so you could add a symbol on the missing page?

Great idea, Sherry! Unfortunately, the software we are using doesn't support that. What I CAN do (and will within a few days -- we're on a family vacation) is to put all the reported contacts made into a single list and publish that.

Hi, I contacted Randy Soderholm (hope that's the correct spelling, it's been awhile). He's in Maryland and his sister thought he hadn't heard anything, so I sent him the website. I had not heard anything about the 40th, so I am happy to help with our 50th. Hope we hear from some more classmates. Thanks to all for making this happen.

We are making progress with 50th Reunion plans, more details will follow soon!

It looks like we still have 78 missing classmates ( almost 44% are missing from this site) from a class of 179. We had a group searching for classmates with good success & I think everyone would be grateful if any others would also offer to help locate the remaining missing classmates & notify them of this web site & that we are having a 50th reunion.  Does anyone want to assist ?

Donna Winslow (Winslow-Bialozor)

Hi Sherry, Regarding missing classmates; I've reached out to several about joining this group. I suspect those who know about this group and upcoming 50th reunion plans may not be interested in signing up on this page. If alumni are truly interested, a Google search will bring them to this site. Just my 2 cents worth. DonnaWB

Hi all. Regarding missing classmates, many just dont register on this site. Kevin created this website 11 years ago for our 40th. Extensive efforts were made to locate everyone we could. We had a great turnout at the 2 major events, Humbuggs and West Mountain dinner/program. Apprx 50 came to each. Many who came to Humbuggs didnt come to West Mountain & vice versa. I have heard from present planners that they didnt hear about 40th. Our venue and date have finally been set. We need to get the word out quickly, whether word of mouth, this website or whatever resource if we expect the participation that we all want. So let's all try to reach out and make our 50th and probably last, a successful, rewarding and memorable event.

Reunion "final" plans will be announced in a few days. Meanwhile, if you have any contact with any of our "missing classmates," please direct them to this webpage so that they get the reunion information. Those classmates who have not registered on this site are listed in the Missing Classmates page in the blue area on the left. There is also a page that can be accessed from there that shows the missing people that have been contacted, and by whom.
