Vanessa Carter (Chamberlain)
I think people from out of town would like a hotel in part to be able to socialize with classmates and friends. That being said, this is what the Holiday Inn Express off exit 18 is able to do for us:
Rooms Friday ($159), Saturday ($169 - bear in mind it's a holiday weekend), Sunday ($159) for any standard (2 queen or 1 king bed). That will help those who might choose to cruise and then spend Sunday night.
Breakfast (hot and cold) is included. We can use a small (read intimate) conference room to eat our breakfast which will afford leisure and privacy.
Check their website for a full description, including amenities and ratings before you make a decision. We will be discussing it tonight (briefly) to make a final decision about the Holidqy Inn Express vs. Landmark.
If we go with the Holiday Inn Express:
1. Let me know you (tentatively) plan to stay there AND whether you would prefer a 2 Queen or 1 King room so she can hold the correct number of rooms with the selected configuration of beds. My address is nesstrey@aol.com , or send a private message via this site, a public message can be posted on this site or call me @ 518 393-4834, I need to know by Saturday so I can sign and return a contract.
2. Further instructions will follow (including the address to use) to then make your reservation directly. Held rooms will be released on September 6th and my assumption is we can add rooms if necessary up to a certain point, but have been warned they will sell at soon as this is a holiday weekend.
3. If you are not attending tonight's meeting either in person or by Zoom still let me know if you think you might like a room and the number of beds you prefer.
Thanks to Donna Winslow for this suggestion and recommendation!
