I was sad to see Mark Smaldone's name added to the In Memoriam page. Here is a link to his obit: https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/apex-nc/mark-smaldone-10313748 [link added to profile; thanks!]
Mark is my second cousin (our grandfathers were brothers). I remeber him most for his quiet demeanor and that we used to go to cathechism classes together when we were in sixth grade at Spring Street School. He was good to my mom and dad by helping them acquire cement flower urns for their front yard (he was a professional concrete man). He lost his mom at a young age and I often think how difficult that must have been for him.

So sad to hear about Mark. What a genuinely nice person. Lots of teenage memories. Very glad to have known him. RIP.
